✅ Selection Process

Written Test
The written test has 40 objective questions plus 1 essay question (20 marks), for a duration of 60 minutes. Questions cover the Scouts & Guides organisation, its activities and General Knowledge. There is negative marking of 1/3rd for each wrong objective answer, and you must score at least 40% (24 marks) to move ahead.
Marks on Certificates
Your participation certificates in National, State, All-India Railway and District scouting events, and specialised courses, are awarded up to 40 marks. Candidates are called for this stage at 5 times the number of vacancies, in written-test merit order.
Medical Examination
A minimum of 40% in aggregate is needed for empanelment. Selected candidates must then pass the prescribed railway medical examination for the post.
