🧑 Age Limit & Relaxation

Relaxations: APST candidates +5 years, PwBD +10 years (15 years for APST PwBD), in-service departmental candidates with 3 years’ continuous service +5 years, and Ex-Servicemen can deduct their military service from their actual age.

🎓 Educational Qualification

• Class 12 (10+2) pass from a recognized board — but the stream and extras differ by post:

  • Stockman, Laboratory Assistant, Agriculture Field Assistant (Jr): Class XII with Science
  • Fishery Demonstrator: Class XII Science with Biology as a subject
  • Field Assistant: Class XII with Mathematics or Geography, OR Class XII in any subject plus a Survey course from a Government-recognized ITI
  • LDC, DEO, Junior Secretariat Assistant: Class XII in any stream, plus computer typing speed of 35 WPM (10,500 key depressions per hour), plus a minimum 6-month Diploma in Computer Application recognized by APCTE/AICTE
  • Record Keeper/Record Clerk: Class XII plus a 1-year Diploma in Computer Application
  • LDC under Sainik Welfare: must be an Ex-Serviceman with at least 10 years’ service as a Combatant, preferably as Clerk

✅ Selection Process

1. Stage-I: Written Examination (Merit-Deciding)

   Arithmetical & Numerical Ability	25 Q / 50 marks
   English Language & Comprehension	25 Q / 50 marks

   The paper carries 100 questions for 200 marks in 2 hours. no negative marking and no sectional cut-off — you need a minimum 33% aggregate to qualify.

   The exam is tentatively on 20 September 2026 across 15 centres (you pick 3 in priority order).

2. Stage-II: Skill Test (Qualifying Only):
   1. Applicable only to DEO, Junior Secretariat Assistant and LDC — a computer typing test at 35 WPM (10,500 KDPH), from 10 October 2026 onwards
   2. All other posts are decided purely on the written exam merit
   3. Document verification follows for shortlisted candidates — originals of your Class XII certificate, APST certificate, PRC, DCA diploma and other documents
   4. Final selection remains provisional until verification by the appointing authority

💰 Salary Structure

Note: In addition to basic pay, candidates are entitled to DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per 7th Pay Commission recommendations.

3. Fill the CHSL 2026 application form
4. Select post and department preference
5. Choose 3 exam centre preferences in priority order

6. Upload photograph and signature in the prescribed sizes

   Scanned passport photo (50–100 KB, jpg/jpeg/png), scanned signature in black ink on white paper (10–50 KB), your Class XII certificate details, and your APST/PRC certificate numbers if applicable.
