Is Karunya Fund only for BPL card holders? ▾

Yes, it is primarily for BPL card holders. However, families just above BPL with catastrophic medical expenses can also apply with special permission from District Collector.

Can I claim Karunya along with PMJAY (Ayushman Bharat)? ▾

Yes, Karunya acts as a top-up scheme. If PMJAY covers ₹5 lakh but the treatment costs more or is not covered, Karunya Fund provides additional support.
