Scheme to promote authentic Ladakhi Pashmina production and support Changpa nomad herders and pashmina artisans.

Ladakh produces some of the world's finest Pashmina (Cashmere) wool from Changthangi goats herded by the nomadic Changpa community at altitudes above 4,000 metres. This scheme provides direct support to Changpa herders and downstream artisans to maintain this ancient tradition while improving their economic condition.
