Free borewell with pump installation for small and marginal farmers with up to 2 hectares land for irrigation

The Nishulk Boring Yojana (Free Borewell Scheme) is run by the Minor Irrigation Department of Uttar Pradesh to provide free borewell installation and pump sets to small and marginal farmers who do not have adequate irrigation facilities.

Under this scheme, the government bears the entire cost of borewell drilling and pump installation. For SC/ST farmers, additional financial assistance is also provided.

Permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh
Small farmer: land up to 2 hectares
Marginal farmer: land up to 1 hectare
SC/ST farmers: priority given
Land must be in applicant's name
Must not have any borewell already installed
