PMAY-G aims to provide 'Housing for All' in rural areas by 2024. Beneficiaries receive ₹1.20 lakh (plain areas) or ₹1.30 lakh (hilly/difficult areas) plus 90–95 person-days of unskilled labour under MGNREGS and ₹12,000 for toilet construction under Swachh Bharat Mission.
Beneficiary selection is done through Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011 data and Gram Sabha verification. Payments are made directly to beneficiary's bank account in installments linked to construction progress.
