Free tablets and smartphones to 1 crore students in UP pursuing graduation, diploma and technical courses

The UP Free Tablet & Smartphone Yojana was announced by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in December 2021 with a budget of ₹3,000 crore to distribute 1 crore devices (tablets and smartphones) to students.

The scheme is managed through the DigiShakti portal where students register, and devices are distributed through their colleges. The scheme aims to bridge the digital divide and support online education.

Eligibility Criteria

Student enrolled in recognized UP university/college

Must be enrolled in current academic session
Skills/ITI/vocational students also included in phases
