Ladli Laxmi Yojana is one of India's pioneering state schemes for girl child welfare, launched by Madhya Pradesh in April 2007. The scheme was upgraded to Ladli Laxmi 2.0 in 2022, significantly enhancing benefits.

The government invests ₹1,43,000 in NSC (National Savings Certificate) form on behalf of each girl child, providing scholarships at educational milestones and a lump sum of ₹1 lakh at graduation.

Eligibility Criteria

Girl child born on or after 1 January 2006 in MP
Family should be registered under Anganwadi
Family must not be income taxpayer
Maximum 2 girl children per family
Parents must have adopted family planning after 2nd child

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the girl receive ₹1 lakh? ▾

The ₹1 lakh lump sum is paid at the time of graduation (on turning 21 years), provided she is unmarried.

What if the family has a 3rd child? ▾

Only the first 2 girl children per family are eligible. The 3rd girl is not covered.
