Skill India Mission (PMKVY)

Skill India Mission was launched on 15 July 2015 with the goal of training over 40 crore Indians in various skills by 2022. The flagship scheme under this mission is Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).

PMKVY provides short-term skill training (3–6 months) in 40+ sectors including IT, construction, healthcare, retail, hospitality, and more. After successful assessment, candidates receive a National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF)-aligned certificate and a monetary reward of ₹8,000.
